this product works well alone or with the leave-in. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! Had to revisit and glad I did!! It does give at least 3 days of good moisture. It should come in a bigger bottle for longer usage. I run out of it tooo quickly. It also keeps hair soft and PLUMP!!!
